Chinese New Year at Ten Mile Bank

Ten Mile Bank goes Chinese for the day

Today Ten Mile Bank Primary School celebrated the Chinese New Year. The children in the Swan's class found out about the customs of the Chinese new year. This year is the year of the Ox and people born this year should be calm and quiet. They used the computers to find out ideas and watched video clips.

The Swan's made scary dragon cards, wrote their names in chinese and made welcome door signs. They helped ladies from Norfolk County Services Catering to make beef stir fry with vegetables and then ate it with chop sticks which they were allowed to take home.

When asked the children said they had a great/brilliant day and learnt a lot about the Chinese New Year.
