Food and Drink
Children are able either to choose the school lunch or bring a packed lunch.
School meals cost £2.20 a day (£11 a week).
Lunches may be ordered for part of the week, and menus for each term are sent home with pupils so that they can make their selection in advance.
When ordering school meals, please send dinner money in to school on the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK in a NAMED ENVELOPE. Correct cash is acceptable, as are cheques for the correct amount made payable to: Hilgay Riverside Academy or Ten Mile Bank Riverside Academy
Families receiving Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance are entitled to Free School Meals. Please contact the school secretary if you think you may be eligible.
The Dining Hall ready for Christmas Lunch
Packed lunches from home should be brought into school in a secure lunch box. Please note, fizzy drinks, cans and chocolate/sweets are not permitted.
Our school is part of the National scheme to encourage children to eat 5 portions of fruit or vegetables a day. The scheme provides fruit or vegetables free to all children in Reception and Key Stage 1.
Every child has a water bottle in school. There is a chilled pure water machine that is available for the children to replenish their bottles.
Staff will make sure that the children are aware when they can access their water bottles, this may vary from class to class.
