School Families

There are several goals for school families: strengthening relationships with pupils of various ages and backgrounds; building a sense of community by better connecting children to each other and to school; and providing the opportunity for our older pupils to develop valuable leadership skills and responsibilities.

We will plan opportunities to develop relationships within our school families through games and other activities.  We look forward to “family” building activities during the year!

Our School families are all named after local waterways, on joining the school every child is put into one of our school families

Wissey - a tributary of The Great Ouse that flows through Hilgay and onto Stoke Ferry.

Cam - a tributary of The Great Ouse that flows through Cambridge.

Lark - a tributary of the Great Ouse that is navigable to West Row and flows through Isleham.

Nene - the river that flows from Northampton, through to Peterborough and out to the wash.

The families strive to earn the highest number of family points every week and every term. The children can earn points for good work, thoughtful behaviour and kind acts.

The winning family win the Family Trophy presented to them in Achievement Assembly.
