Federation Day
What an amazing day filled with music and craft.
Children is KS1 all went to Ten Mile Bank and had a wonderful opportunity to learn how to play African drums with Anna Mudeka. Anna, originally from Zimbabwe shared stories of her family and what it is like to live in there. There was African necklace making, stories and dancing to complete the day.
Ks2 children were at Hilgay learning about Brazil and the rainforest. They were joined by Lorraine Theobald who taught the children how to express themselves through dance. They also got to do some drumming and singing with Mrs Molnar and made a rainforest in a box in groups. The children from both schools had a truly fabulous day.
