The Friends of Ten Mile Bank organised the Great Ball Race (sorry couldnt afford ducks)
Friday 12th June a hot blazing evening, everyone gathered on the bridge to watch a 185 balls being dropped and cheered on the winning ball. Tension started as they didn't appear under the bridge for what seemed like hours then they emerged. With it neck and neck with ball numbers 2 and 18 it was decided that ball number 2 won. The winner was Ten Mile Bank pupil Joe Hopwood winning a cool £45.
Then it was back to school for a bit of dancing and eating. There was a BBQ which sold out very quickly and then there was dancing with all the children off enjoying themselves. It was a great night and we would like to thank everyone for coming along and supporting our event.
